About Torojet
Torojet was developed in 2010 by Mike Eastwood to address a critical need in the concrete industry: eliminating or minimising operator bowl entry for inspection and the manual removal of concrete build-up. Historically, maintenance inside concrete truck agitators has led to serious injuries and fatalities in Australia, Europe, and the USA.
As a Plant Manager new to the concrete industry in the South Waikato, Mike quickly recognised both the cost impact of concrete build-up and the safety risks to staff. In response, he designed the Automated Concrete Truck Agitator Cleaning System — Torojet. The system was trialled in 2011 at a site in Cambridge, and after a successful trial, it was brought to market. Since then, Torojet has been installed at multiple sites across New Zealand, evolving into the latest G2 model with higher water pressure and improved cleaning performance.
Following Mike’s passing in 2022, Torojet NZ Ltd has been run by his wife, Ann, who shares his commitment to safety, efficiency, and reliable service for customers.
